
Bio
Jo Byrne is a horsewoman, writer, diesel technician and educator, armed with an MFA in Writing with a Fiction Concentration from Lindenwood University and a BA in English with a Creative Writing Concentration and a minor in Technical Communication from Texas Tech University as well as an AAS in Diesel Service Technology from South Plains College. She grew up with a classical education in parallel with practical education in agriculture and construction.

Other areas of personal interest include digital art, building custom computer systems, welding, native plant land reclamation, reading and studying Ancient History, Classics, Philosophy and Psychology.
​
She has had short fiction and non-fiction published in The Harbinger Journal of Art & Literature, dabbles in photography and digital art, is a Diesel Technician with multiple industry certifications and specializations in engines, fuel systems and electrical diagnostics. She has been showing horses in a variety of disciplines since 1999, as well as developing and managing her own breeding program since she acquired her first mare in 2006.

Her current writing is focused on completing her expansive dark fantasy, while her space opera waits in the wings for attention.
